Happy Holidays from Accountabaloney.

During this holiday season, please take time to relax, enjoy your families, read a good book and recharge. Rest assured, in the New Year, we will continue our mission: to call out the accountabaloney when we “smell it.”

To paraphrase Jon Stewart, now more than ever:

Accountabaloney is everywhere. There is very little you will encounter in Florida education policy that has not been, in some ways, infused with accountabaloney… Now the good news. The sausage-makers have gotten pretty lazy. And their work is easily detected. And looking for it is kind of a pleasant way to pass the time. Like an “I Spy” of accountabaloney. So we say to you tonight, friends. The best defense against accountabaloney is vigilance. So, if you smell something, say something.

And, finally, with all apologies to the great Dr. Seuss: 

“And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if quality education, he thought, can’t be measured by test scores. What if quality education for our kids, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
